The Fire Department made 22 runs during the month of November, bringing this year's total to 272 compared to 260 runs by this time in 2005.

New Miami and Madison Township were requested for mutual aid on one
structure fire.

Training:
The HazMat Tech class has been completed with all 15 firefighters passing. Four hours of additional training was conducted on HazMat identification which covered researching hazardous materials information on the internet.
Safety:
All personnel reviewed the use of safety belts and full protective gear.
Fema Grant:
FEMA issued a letter indicating that our grant application was denied but encouraging us to apply again next year.
New Fire Engine:
We have corresponded with Sutphen on several occasions regarding our new engine. Work has begun on the unit, and we have selected our colors. We're currently working on the lettering and striping.

St. Clair Township will be having an auction on Saturday August 19th at the Administration Building: 2449 Jackson Rd in Overpeck. Items to be auctioned include items from all township agencies such as:

- EMS and Rescue Equipment
- Hose
- Fire Equipment
- Vehicles
